RIP B.B. King

Legendary musician B.B. King passed away last night at the age of 89. CLICK HERE for details.

When I was a teen, I don’t know how many times I listened to U2’s fantastic album, Rattle And Hum. I wore out that cassette tape on my yellow Sony Walkman, and stupidly have yet to replace the album in any form. The first track on side 2, Angel of Harlem, was played and re-winded more than a few times.

The album was also accompanied by a terrific documentary, with tonnes of music of course.

I was first introduced to Mr. King, thanks to U2. Rattle And Hum, features the lads meeting B.B. and eventually recording the stellar song ‘When Love Comes To Town’.

To be honest, I’m not all that familiar with the rest of B.B.’s catalogue. But, with more than 50 albums, I have some listening to do. RIP Mr. King!
