Composer JAMES HORNER died in a plane crash yesterday morning.  You may not recognize his name, but you WILL recognize his music.

He composed the music for “Titanic”, and won two Oscars for it in 1998:  Best Original Dramatic Score, and Best original Song, for CELINE DION’s “My Heart Will Go On”.

But he also did “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”“Aliens”“Glory”“Braveheart”“Apollo 13”“Avatar”, and tons of other famous movies.  Plus a lot of his music gets used in trailers for movies he DIDN’T score.

Horner was flying a single engine plane when he crashed in California’s Los Padres National Forest.  He was 61 years old.
