Wes Craven, horror filmmaker, dies at 76

WES CRAVEN, the legendary director of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and all four “Scream” movies, died yesterday after a battle with brain cancer.  He was 76.  His other films include “The People Under the Stairs”, and the original versions of “Last House on the Left” and “The Hills Have Eyes”.


The original “Elm Street” was JOHNNY DEPP’s first movie role, by the way.
