Star Wars bikini goes on the auction block
Princess Leia’s gold metal bikini she wore while enslaved by Jabba the Hutt in “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi” is going on the auction block.
During next month’s Profiles in History auction, over 50 items from the Star Wars francise will be up for grabs, including cameras, scripts and even prototype Darth Vader helmets.
“Without question, Carrie Fisher’s ‘Slave Leia’ costume is among the most memorable in the Star Wars franchise,” the auction catalog reads. “This ensemble represents the most important and complete compilation of original Star Wars pieces to have survived production in private hands.”
The bikini is expected to bring in between $80,000 and $120,000.
