A Lego shortage this Christmas??

Looks like not EVERYTHING is awesome for Lego. Or for Lego-lovers this holiday season.

The Danish toy brickmaker is apparently expecting a shortage this Christmas.

Lego spokesman Roar Trangbaek said, “We will not be able to deliver all of the new orders coming from customers in the remainder of the year in some markets in Europe.”

He did not reveal which countries would be facing a shortage.

Sales of Lego grew 18% in the first half of 2015, following 15% growth in 2014, no doubt boosted by the success of The Lego Movie.

But that success has also wreaked havoc on their ability to produce enough of the iconic colourful blocks.

“The high demand also puts a strain on our factories around the world,” Lego CFO John Goodwin said in a statement.
