Demi Lovato Is Now A Co-Owner Of The Rehab Where She Was Treated
Demi Lovato is now the co-owner of CAST Centers, the mental health center where she once received treatment. According to Entertainment Tonight, Demi said in a statement, “CAST was my home while I was in recovery and over the past several years, I have stayed close to the staff and to Mike Bayer, [Founder and CEO, CAST Centers] and have seen their passion and tireless efforts firsthand, not only through my own treatment, but with others as well. I’m excited to have the opportunity to become a partner in a business that I have such close ties to, and to continue to raise awareness around mental health.”
Meanwhile, during a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Demi explained, “It just feels good. It sounds ridiculous, but I kind of made a pact with God, and I don’t even think you’re supposed to do that, but I promised, ‘If you make me a singer one day, I’m going to use my voice for so much more than singing, and I’m going to help people with it.'”
- Demi also said, “How many 24-year-olds own their own treatment center? But then to leverage her position in pop music to do so much good is just incredible.”
- The interview is set to air on Sunday (September 11th).
