It’s taken 15 years but someone has finally decoded what Missy Elliot mumbles in ‘Work It’

People with nothing better to do were suddenly freaking out over the weekend, because someone finally figured out what Missy Elliott was saying during the gibberish part from the song “Work It”.  It’s just the previous line in the song, but played in reverse.  

The line goes, “I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it.”  So yeah . . . she took that line, then flipped it and reversed it.  See what she did there? Here’s the original played forwards . . . then reversed. 

The vocals sound the same in both, but in the second half the music is reversed!
