Juno Awards 2017: The Tragically Hip Played Off Mid-Speech At 2017 Juno Awards

The Junos were last night – hosted by Russell peters and Bryan Adams.

The Tragically Hip took home the top honors. – they took home 2 of the night’s seven prizes: songwriter of the year for his solo Secret Path project along with group of the year for fronting the Tragically Hip.

Gord Downie did appear over video however, thanking the crowd.

Rob and Paul accepted the award and were played off into commercials!


The night’s remaining winners were:

Album of the year: Leonard Cohen, You Want It Darker

Juno fan choice: Shawn Mendes

Breakthrough artist of the year: Ruth B

Pop album of the year: Alessia Cara, Know-It-All
