Legendary insult comic DON RICKLES died of kidney failure yesterday. He was 90. He was in a bunch of movies and appeared on a ton of TV shows, but he’s probably most famous as a late night guest, especially with Johnny Carson and David Letterman.

Don was working on a new reality show called “Dinner with Don”, which is a little like Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”, except that it’s just held at various restaurants.

He also was the voice of Mr. Potato Head in the “Toy Story” series.
Jimmy Kimmel had trouble getting through his show last night because he had been close to Don Rickles. He was already crying as he began his monologue.

It was pretty obvious last night what Don Rickles meant to Jimmy Kimmel. He broke into tears several times while he was sharing his memories of Don.

He says Don would always ask how his family was doing, and Don even helped Jimmy through a tough show one night when Jimmy’s uncle passed away.
