More than $44M raised in Hurricane Telethon

As of yesterday morning, the “Hand in Hand” telethon had raised $44 million for hurricane victims, but they’re still taking donations.

Originally it was to  assist victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, but expanded to include victims of Hurricane Irma in Florida, the Caribbean and elsewhere.

Football player for the Houstan Texans J.J. Watt’s efforts are up to 33 million now. J.J. announced yesterday that he’ll stop taking donations tomorrow at 5:00 P.M. Central Time, so they can start putting that money to work.
