Celebs Rally to Raise Over $14 Million During Hand in Hand Hurricane Telethon
Last night’s “Hand in Hand” telethon for hurricane relief raised more than $14 million . . . and counting, since you can STILL donate HandInHand2017.com.
The Hurricane telethon was last night, and Stevie Wonder started off the show with a pretty strong comment about climate change, before he sang “Lean On Me”.
Wonder wasn’t the only one who got political during the telethon. Singer Beyoncé contributed a video that started, “During a time when it’s impossible to watch the news without seeing violence or racism in this country. Just when you think it couldn’t possibly be worse, natural disasters take precious life, do massive damage, and forever change lives.
Tons of other performances and celebs were there and the phones were staffed by EVERY CELEBRITY YOU CAN NAME.
Hand in Hand streamed live across the States on all major networks including ABC, Bravo, CBS, E!, Fox and NBC. In addition, the star-studded benefit was shown on Apple, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
