Sinead O’Connor reveals years of physical and sexual abuse from her mother. She sat down for an intense interview on Dr. Phil in which she said her mother physically and sexually abused her for most of her childhood.

He also asked her about the time she tore up the Pope’s picture on “Saturday Night Live”. That happened in 1992. She says Ireland knew about the Catholic Church’s abuse scandal 10 years before America, and that’s why she did it.

She also explained she’s always kept her head shaved, and it’s really pretty heartbreaking. She says she didn’t want to be pretty, because it kept getting her raped as a kid. Also, her abusive mother used to refer to Sinead and her sister as the pretty daughter and the ugly daughter.
