Amy Schumer Is Saying No To Super Bowl Ads
Amy Schumer is getting political again! This time it’s on instagra. She is back from getting detained at the Kavanaugh protests, and has long advocated for women’s rights and gun control (she’s also cousin to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who’s also big on gun control). Now, following in the footsteps of Rihanna, who turned down an invite to perform at the Super Bowl, Schumer’s also stated that she’ll turn down doing any commercial that will air during the Super Bowl.
Rihanna was reportedly offered the halftime entertainer slot but turned it down to show support for Colin Kaepernick, who kneeled during the anthem to quietly (and peacefully) protest police brutality against the black community.
Schumer previously appeared in a star-studded and politically tinged Bud Light campaign alongside Seth Rogen that aired during the 2016 Super Bowl.
