Lethal Weapon showed a solid Week 2 ratings performance for the revamped series with new co-lead Seann William Scott.  But now a video interview of star Damon Wayans surfaced in which he announced that he will be leaving the show in December, after completing the initial 13-episode Season 3 order.

After everything Damon went through to get Clayton Crawford fired, he just casually announces that he’s leaving the “Lethal Weapon” TV show mid-season because he just can’t do it anymore.

He said, quote, “I’m going to be quitting the show in December after we finish the initial 13 [episodes].  So I really don’t know what they’re planning, but that’s what I’m planning.  I’m a 58-year-old diabetic, and I’m working 16-hour days . . .

He also said he’s missing too much family time, and he wants to return to the stage and, quote, “try to find my smile again.”
