Pete Davidson Addresses Ariana Grande On “Weekend Update” On SNL
Pete Davidson had nothing but kind words for his ex-fiancee, despite joking about his split with Ariana Grande in a promo released ahead of this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Try as we might, we just can’t seem to get Pete and Ariana to move to the back burner and let us get on with our lives. Here’s the latest:
At the end of the “Weekend Update” segment on Saturdays’ SNL, Pete switched gears and addressed the Ari situation.
He said, quote, “I know some of you are curious about the breakup. The Truth is it’s nobody’s business, and sometimes things just don’t work out, and that’s okay. She’s a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.”

It sounds like Pete was trying to make amends after he upset Ariana with that “Saturday Night Live” promo last week.
Just before “SNL” on Saturday, Ariana released a new song called “Thank U, Next”, where she addressed several of her exes. But it wasn’t a hatchet job. It’s basically about what she learned from all of them.
Here’s how it starts . . . “Thought I’d end up with [Big] Sean / But he wasn’t a match / Wrote some songs about Ricky [Alvrez, her former dancer] / Now I listen and laugh.
“Even almost got married / And for Pete I’m so thankful / Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm [Mac Miller] / Cause he was an angel.”
