Eddie Murphy Being Courted To Host The Oscar
Finding someone to replace Kevin Hart for host of the Oscar is proving to be super difficult because the gig; it doesn’t pay well.
Sources connected to the award show have said the infamously small paycheck for hosting the Oscars has always been a bone of contentions for the Academy for a long time. Jimmy Kimmel said he only got $15k for his services in 2017, and we’re told most potential candidates are inclined to turn down the job because of that figure.
As to the money, some sources are saying that the Academy doesn’t like to empty their pockets for a host because they consider it the opportunity of a lifetime.
Kevin was so excited about getting the honour he was THRILLED before getting ousted for homophobic tweets. Will whoever fills the job demand more money?
On another note, Rumor has it that Eddie Murphy is being courted to replace Hart as host for the show. According to RadarOnline, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences reached out to Murphy “in hopes that he would agree to host” after Kevin Hart stepped down from the gig. Sources say Eddie has NO interest in the gig.
WE SHALL SEE!
