Amazon CEO Is Getting Divorced, It Could Make His Wife Richer Than Zuckerberg?

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie are getting divorced after 25 years of marriage, and to say a lot of money is at stake is a MASSIVE understatement.

Jeff is by far the richest man in the world, worth over $136 BILLION.  Most of that is tied up in Amazon stock, so that’s probably how MacKenzie will be paid whatever settlement she’s getting.

If she gets even HALF her husband’s fortune, she’ll be the 5th richest person in the world, and by far the richest WOMAN in the world.  She’ll also be worth more than Facebook founder Mark Zuckereurg

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest individual, has announced that he and his wife MacKenzie will be getting a divorce after 25 years of marriage. – We’ve run a simple hypothetical on the divorce and assumed a split of assets right down the middle. – Having built an enormous $137bn fortune through Amazon, it’s pretty incredible that both Jeff and Mackenzie could still both be in the top 5 wealthiest people globally. – In fact MacKenzie could theoretically be worth more than Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. – – – #chartr #amazon #jeffbezos #mackenziebezos #divorce #money #finance

If Jeff and MacKenzie settle amicably and without the aid of the courts, we’ll probably never know the terms.  And it sounds like that’s what’s happening.

Because when they announced their divorce yesterday, they talked about remaining friends and partners, and said, quote, “If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again.”

News broke last night that Bezos is seeing TV personality Lauren Sanchez, who’s also getting divorced.  But sources say the relationship happened AFTER Jeff and MacKenzie called it quits, and MacKenzie was aware of it.
