Grey Roots Museum and Archives shares the unique stories of Grey County through hands-on programming, special events, as well as through original and traveling exhibitions. For some local history, pick your way through the delicious history of apples with the Grey Roots original exhibit, Peeling Back the Layers: Apples in Grey County! Bring the whole family to explore why Grey County is such a sweet area for apple agriculture!

During March Break, check out GAME ON! From classic board games to video games to virtual reality, GAME ON explores our favourite pastimes! You can also check out classic construction toys Meccano and LEGO, enjoy movies in the theatre, and explore the trails in Moreston Heritage Village! Different activities every day of March Break.

On Saturday, March 23, experience the joy of maple at Grey Roots’ Annual Maple Sugar Moon event! Get moving with live music from the Merry Music Makers. Enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast from the Kiwanis Club with REAL maple syrup. Taste some fresh maple taffy from DeJong Acres Explore Sacred Medicines and Mother Earth through teachings from the Native Cultural Resource Centre. Sample fragrant cedar tea and listen to stories of the very first maple sugar moon! Make your own bannock, try your hand at tree tapping, and see how sap gets boiled into syrup
