Name: Julie B.
Show: The ONE Morning Show
Hero: Anyone who keeps putting their feet one in front of the other in the face of so many circumstances that might otherwise cause you to stop.
Likes: Naps, baby laughter, a nice waterview (someday!) carbs, wine, word games and witty repartee
Dislikes: Confrontation, onions, carbs and stress (real or imagined!)
Favorite Food: Alfredo pasta (it has to be good alfredo to be worth the carbs!), steak and homemade soup (I LOVE SOUP!)
Favorite Quote: “I would rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special…” ~Shelby in Steel Magnolias
“Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you…” ~ Maori proverb
Favorite Concert: Dixie Chicks, Michael Buble, Mary Chapin Carpenter….and so many more!
Favorite Bands: See above – and P!nk, Train, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, Olly Murs….plus so many more!
Name: Nick Sawicki
Show: The One Morning Show, weekdays 6am-10am
Hometown: Oakville, ON
Hero: Wolverine, and my Mommy.
Likes: Toronto sports teams, all kinds of music, women in heels, and people falling on video (which then gets posted on Youtube).
Dislikes: Salmon, Montreal Canadiens, & the price of gas.
Favorite Food: Pizza, and sushi (except salmon)
Favorite Quote: “I don’t have a problem, I have problems, plural.” ~ Ted the Bellhop in the movie Four Rooms (played by Tim Roth).
Favorite Concert: I don’t just have 1 fave concert, but in 1997, shortly after I turned 19, U2 at the then Skydome. 50 thousand people, & giant lemon. Which then turned into a disco ball. I remember that each time I go back to see a sporting event.
Favorite Bands: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, U2, Kings of Leon, Wu Tang Clan, DJ Shadow, Fiona Apple, Bjork, Florence & The Machine, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and so many more. My iPod has a very diverse collection of artists. But I still prefer to have the actual physical copy of an album.
