Nicki Minaj abruptly cancels North American tour, including Detroit and Toronto stops
What’s going on with ‘rap queen’ Nicki Minaj? She has abruptly cancelled ALL dates on the North American leg of her joint ‘NICKIHNDRXX’ tour with rapper Future. The dates, however, will be rescheduled with kickoff in May.
A statement from LiveNation reads “[Nicki] has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour… Nicki has decided to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve.” Future may not join her for the North American leg in May.

Rumours, however, say ticket sales were doing awful for the tour. Page Six claims “Even Nicki’s hometown of Brooklyn, the Barclays Center (which has a capacity of 19,000) sold only 5,050 tickets.” They also report that music industry insider say Nicki is “spiraling out of control.”
This comes after Nicki Minaj bashed rapper Travis Scott for holding the number one album on the rap charts. Nicki claims she should be number one and the only reason his album has higher sales is because he used his girlfriend and daughter (Kylie Jenner and their baby Stormi) for promotion. Nicki’s album, Queen was released on Aug. 10th.
