The Oscar nominations always have some surprises…and some surprising snubs. Leonardo DiCaprio (Don’t Look Up), Lady Gaga (House of Gucci), Ben Affleck (The Tender Bar) and Rita Moreno (West Side Story) did NOT get nominated. And Spider Man: No Way Home couldn’t make its way into the best picture category…but the sci-fi epic Dune and Will Smith’s King Richard got plenty of recognition and Kristen Stewart received her first Oscar nod for playing Princess Diana in Spencer. Netflix’s dark Western The Power of the Dog led the pack with 12 nominations
Adele won the top three prizes at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday, song of the year, artist of the year and album of the year. She said, “I’d like to dedicate this award to my son, and to Simon, to his dad. This album was all of our journey, not just mine.” Side note: she was wearing a giant diamond ring. Other winners included Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa…..and Billie Eilish, Silk Sonic and Olivia Rodrigo picked up the international awards.
A UK tabloid is reporting that Zendaya and Tom Holland bought a house together. Well they say that Tom Holland bought a house in London and then they ran with it, as tabloids tend to do.
Some of the cast members of The West Wing has dinner together so of course there must be a reboot in the works, right?
