Celebrity Status
For Monday, February 28th:
At the SAG awards last night Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Will Smith in King Richard won the lead actor categories. Best Picture-nominated movie CODA earned the biggest award of the night, with Marlee Matlin — the only deaf actress in history to have won an Oscar — praising SAG for validating the work of deaf performers.
On the TV side, Squid Game earned three wins, and the casts of Succession and Ted Lasso won in their respective categories. Ted Lasso’s Jason Sudeikis, Kate Winslet for Mare of Easttown and Jean Smart in Hacks were also among the individual winners.
Uncharted took in $44 million and Dog with Channing Tatum earned nearly 15 million to once again sit one and two at the box office over the weekend. Look for that to change when The Batman hits theatres this weekend.
On the Bachelor tonight, Clayton visits the hometowns of the final four ladies to meet their families…and apparently Gabby’s grandpa thinks Clayton is ‘full of BLEEP—‘
