Dua Lipa landed her first movie role in the upcoming spy thriller ‘Argylle’, alongside Henry Cavill. It’s based on a novel of the same name which will be released this September. The first teaser trailer is out now. She also has a new song with Megan Thee Stallion called Sweetest Pie.
Movies out today…include Disney and Pixar’s ‘Turning Red’ exclusively on Disney +. Oscar-award winning director Domee Shi, who is from Toronto, tells the story of a confident, dorky Toronto teenager and the chaos of adolescence. Sandra Oh provides the voice of Ming, her overbearing mother.
‘The Adam Project’ with Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo also stars Ryan Reynolds as a time traveler. It comes to Netflix today….and in theatres, Zac Efron stars in ‘Gold’ as a drifter who discovers the largest gold nugget ever found.
A Chicago court on Thursday sentenced actor Jussie Smollett, formerly of the show “Empire,” to 30 months probation and 150 days in jail for staging a hate crime against himself. He still maintains his innocence.
Pete Davidson is set to play a fictionalized version of himself in a new TV comedy series with a working title of Bupkis. SNL creator Lorne Michaels will executive produce the series with Davidson.
… and speaking of SNL, Zoë Kravitz hosts Saturday Night Live this weekend with musical guest Rosalía.
And this just in… Grimes reveals that she and Elon Musk have a second child together. The couple’s baby girl is named Exa Dark Sideræl, but her parents call her Y. Her brother is called X. The couple separated in September and she was born in December 2021 via a surrogate.
