Celebrity Status – Movies, Grammys And More!
For Friday, April 1st:
At the movies this weekend, Jared Leto stars as Morbius, a biochemist who tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but infects himself with a form of vampirism instead. Michael Keaton is in that one too.
…and Chris Pine stars as a discharged U.S. Special Forces sergeant in The Contractor. Let’s just say, this contractor ISN’T building your house.
The Grammys are on Sunday night. Some of the nominees include, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Li’l Nas X, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran and The Kid Laroi. Among the many performers on the show, Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform but as expected, they have cancelled their appearance. Trevor Noah will host the show.
Nick and Vanessa Lachey will be part of a new dating show, “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On” coming to Netflix April 6th. Meanwhile, Nick Lachey tried to grab a photographer’s phone during his night out over the weekend. He tweeted afterwards… not exactly an apology, but an acknowledgement that he overreacted.
CTV has given the go-ahead to a new unscripted dating series in British Columbia called Farming For Love. The series will follow the journeys of five rural Canadian singles on their quest for romance. Casting is currently underway for single farmers, growers, ranchers and vintners from B.C.
Netflix has closed a deal for a reimagining of the original Spy Kids movie with the creator and director Robert Rodriguez… and like the original, the new Spy Kids movie will focus on a multicultural family of international spies.
Elsewhere, Mindy Kaling is on the cover of Time magazine for her media company Kaling International.
