Celebrity Status – BTS, Pinocchio, Harry And Norm
For Wednesday, June 1st:
Comedian Norm MacDonald passed away last September but he left us a little something special, a final stand-up routine he shot without an audience. “Nothing Special,” which he named before he died, comes to Netflix on Monday, and it includes footage of some friends and admirers – David Letterman, Dave Chappelle, Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler and others – discussing the comedian on camera after watching his final creation.
Also coming to Netflix this month, see Comedy specials from Bill Burr, Pete Davidson, Amy Schumer, and a tribute to the late Bob Saget.
K-Pop band BTS appeared at the daily press briefing at The White House yesterday to discuss Asian inclusion and representation, and addressing anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination. They met with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office and filmed some digital content for White House social media.
The trailer is out for the remainder of Stranger Things season 4, which hits Netflix July 1st
…and Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo — and Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s voice — star in the new trailer for Pinocchio, which will stream on Disney+ September 8th.
In other headlines, James Corden and Harry Styles showed up at a random fan’s home in Brooklyn and shot a music video for Harry’s song “Daylight”.
Kaley Cuoco says she doesn’t have much interest in doing any more seasons of The Flight Attendant.
…and Jim Cuddy and the band are getting a street named after them. Blue Rodeo Drive is in Toronto just east of the Don Valley Parkway, near Jack Layton Way and Degrassi Street.
