Celebrity Status – Beauty And The Beast, New Competition Shows And More Strange Things

Beauty and the Beast is getting a 30th anniversary special. The two-hour special will feature a blend of animated and live-action sequences, paying tribute to the film and its legacy by combining the original movie with new musical performances. The live cast is yet to be announced but it will air December 15th on ABC.
The Duffer Brothers say “Stranger Things” will end after one more series and will have shorter episodes in season five, although the finale will likely be a feature-length episode again. Meanwhile, there will be a Stranger Things spin-off of sorts, but it will not involve any of the current characters.
Tonight is the premiere of Big Brother season 24 and it promises new levels of gameplay and twists. Also tonight, past contestants from Big Brother, as well as Survivor, The Amazing Race, and Love Island compete on the new series ‘The Challenge: USA.’
New game show Generation Gap starts tomorrow. Kelly Ripa hosts the new quiz show from producers Jimmy Kimmel and Mark Burnett, which pairs teams of seniors with young people.
Quentin Tarantino has become a father for the second time. He and his wife Daniella welcomed a daughter – a sibling for two-year-old Leo – on July 2nd.
