Celebrity Status – Movies, Meloni, Adele And Baby Girl Jonas!

At the movies this weekend, the film adaptation of bestselling book Where the Crawdads Sing opens today, produced by Reese Witherspoon and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones. Author Delia Owens is in the spotlight again for another reason though. Back in 1996, she and her then husband Mark were the subjects of an ABC documentary about their work trying to save elephants from poachers in Zambia, and during production, an alleged poacher’s murder was filmed. 26 years later, Delia Owens is still sought for questioning in his death, but with no extradition laws between the two countries it’s unlikely she will ever answer those questions.
Also opening this weekend, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. A hard-on-his-luck hound Hank, voiced by Michael Cera, finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain, voiced by Ricky Gervais. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Michelle Yeoh and Mel Brooks
Despite being known as one of music’s most private personalities, Adele is said to be planning a tell-all documentary about her new album and her stalled Las Vegas residency…and her love life. She’s been dating sports agent Rich Paul for quite a while now.
In other headlines, Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, has passed away at the age of 73. One report says she was found unconscious near a staircase in her home.
Congratulations to Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, who welcomed their second child, another baby girl yesterday.
