The horror film “Barbarian” has completely unexpected plot twists, according to Director Zach Cregger. It’s a traditionally slow time at the box office, and ‘Barbarian’ won the box office on the weekend by bringing in just $10 million. Which is pretty good actually — it only cost $10.5 million to make. And still in the top five, Brad Pitt’s “Bullet Train” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy is bringing us a heartwarming reality competition called ‘The Big Brunch,’ which will award one chef $300,000. He says, “The whole thing is just like a nice warm hug.” The competition is hosted and judged by Levy and two others, and will debut Nov. 10th on HBO Max.
Taylor Swift was at the Toronto International Film Festival Friday for an onstage Conversation with fans after the screening fo All Too Well, the extended version of her music video. She has directed a few of her videos and says she eventually expects her next step – in film – to be directing a feature length movie. She has a new album next month and TIFF continues all this week.
The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for a sixth and final season. The announcement was made last week at the TIFF season 5 premiere. There is also a sequel in the works, titled ‘The Testaments’, to be set years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale.
