For Friday, October 7th:

At the movies, Christian Bale said he had a hard time on the set of “Amsterdam” with co-star Chris Rock, but it wasn’t because they didn’t get along; apparently, Rock made him laugh so much he couldn’t stay in character. It’s a murder mystery and also stars Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy and Zoe Saldana. It’s in theaters today.

Lyle Lyle Crocodile came to theatres yesterday with Shawn Mendes as the voice of the title character.
And to help kick off the Hallowe’en season, Monster High: The Movie is streaming today on Paramount +…a ‘Hellraiser’ reboot is on Hulu… and a new horror series ‘The Midnight Club’ comes to Netflix.

In other movie news…There are lots of rumours that Henry Cavill will reprise his role of Superman in a cameo in ‘Black Adam.’ And the first Super Mario Bros. movie trailer arrived yesterday during New York Comic ConChris Pratt sounds just like himself.

Chris Hemsworth tries to defy the aging process in the trailer for his new National Geographic series ‘Limitless’. It debuts November 16th

Prince Harry, Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley and others are suing the publisher of the Daily Mail over phone tapping allegations. The lawsuit alleges “abhorrent criminal activity and gross breaches of privacy.”

The Canadian show The Beachcombers marks its 50th anniversary and will be reimagined as an animated show..

SNL is new this Saturday with host Brendan Gleeson and musical guest Willow Smith.

Adidas says its business partnership with Kanye West is “under review.”
