“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” kept the box-office crown for the fourth straight weekend, and the twisted Santa thriller “Violent Night” took in $13.3 million. Had Netflix kept the Rian Johnson “Glass Onion: Knives Out” sequel in theaters, it would have been one of the weekend’s top draws. Last weekend it earned more than 15 million in a limited release. It will be available on Netflix Dec. 23rd
The Weeknd has new music on the ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ soundtrack. He teased a snippet of it on social media Sunday. The movie hits theatres December 16th.
Taylor Swift fans in California are suing Ticketmaster over the Eras tour ticket debacle. The ticket giant and its parent company Live Nation are accused of violating California’s Unfair Competition Law claiming fraud, price fixing, antitrust violations, and “intentional misrepresentation.” And as we all know, Hell hath no fury like a Swifty scorned.
KeKe Palmer hosted SNL and during her monologue she referred to pregnancy rumours, saying “it’s bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you, y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct!” …and then she opened her jacket to reveal her baby bump.
Jennifer Lopez got “Not.Going.Anywhere” engraved on her latest engagement ring from Ben Affleck.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck is partnering with Matt Damon on a new movie studio called Artist Equity. Ben will serve as CEO while Damon assumes the role of chief content officer. The company’s first project is already in production: a still untitled drama that Affleck wrote and directed about the birth of Nike’s Air Jordan sneaker brand.
