‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ topped the domestic box office over the weekend with an estimated take of $134M… less than expected but still good, and it’s a big movie-going week as we head into Christmas. James Cameron said it will have to make $2 Billion to break even so it’s got a ways to go yet! Meanwhile, ‘Titanic’ is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week.
The Drake curse strikes again! Drake’s wallet is a little bit lighter this week after he reportedly lost $1 million by gambling that Argentina would beat France in the World Cup final. Even though Argentina ultimately won in extra time, his bet was based on the score after 90 minutes.
Alicia Keys recalled playing a show earlier this year in Vancouver and getting an unexpected kiss from a fan. Alicia said in an interview this week “God bless you, sending you love. Don’t touch me again, please, but I love you.”
Justin Bieber is not thrilled with the H&M brand right now: He said, “The H&M merch they made of me is trash and I don’t approve it. Don’t buy it.”
Brad Pitt took rumoured new girlfriend Ines de Ramon to the ‘Babylon’ premiere afterparty. The movie opens this week and some critics love it, some really don’t. It opens Friday.
Ticketmaster will sell the remaining 170,000 seats for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour over the next four weeks.
