Mornings

For Friday, January 13th:

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, passed away in hospital yesterday after experiencing cardiac arrest, according to reports. Her mother Priscilla confirmed the news late yesterday. The two had been at the Golden Globes on Tuesday evening in support of the Elvis movie. Lisa Marie Presley was 54 and is survived by 3 of her 4 children.

Frankie Muniz, of ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ revealed his next gig this week and it’s not what you’d think. Nope, not acting. He’s set to compete as a full-time race car driver for NASCAR, beginning Feb.18 in Daytona.

Coming to Netflix today, Rob Lowe and Kimberley Williams-Paisley star in ‘Dog Gone’. Let me just say this: it’s a family movie about a dog that goes missing. Grab a kleenex and prepare your heartstrings, people.

New movies today in theatres include ‘A Man Called Otto’, starring Tom Hanks as the grumpy widower next door. In the movie ‘Plane’, Gerard Butler is the pilot of a plane that must land on a war torn island and is taken hostage.

On Sunday, it’s the season premiere of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ with Jeremy Renner on Paramount+… and on HBO, it’s the long-awaited debut of the video-game turned TV series, ‘The Last of Us’ with Pedro Pascal.

In other headlines, Rihanna and Apple Music just dropped a trailer for her upcoming Half Time Show performance.

And in news that surprises no one… Prince William *doesn’t* want to answer questions about his brother’s blockbuster book, ‘Spare.’
