This week, Lily Gladstone became the first indigenous woman to earn an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category for her work in Killers of the Flower Moon, but her high school classmates called it 20 years ago. In her 2004 yearbook, she was named most likely to win an Oscar.
Everyone is performing at the 2024 Grammys, including Billy Joel, who will release his first single in 17 years on February 1st. Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Luke Combs, and more will perform and nearly all the performers are nominated. The Grammys will be handed out February 4th.
‘Griselda’ premieres on Netflix today. The six-episode limited series is violent, gruesome, and wickedly smart, with Sofía Vergara as you’ve never seen her. She’s getting rave reviews in the lead role of Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. Also on Netflix today, the animated series debut of Masters of the Universe: Revolution.
Still with Netflix, Britney Spears’ 2002 movie ‘Crossroads’, which marked her first starring role, will hit Netflix on Feb. 15. The movie has never before been accessible through streaming platforms or digital retailers, and fun fact: it was written by Shonda Rimes
