Lots of star power at last night’s Super Bowl with more than just Taylor Swift in the stands. She brought her friends Blake Lively and Ice Spice along for the game, the Biebers were there, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z were there too. Bey’s new Verizon commercial ended with her saying “They ready, drop the new music,” …then an Instagram post went up about her new album coming March 29th …and two new country tracks appeared on streaming platforms shortly thereafter, titled Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages.
Whether you loved it or didn’t, Usher’s Half Time performance was definitely a spectacle on a grand scale, with a ton of moving parts, including roller skates and a bunch of guest performers. He was joined by Alicia Keys, H.E.R., will.i.am., Lil Jon, and Ludacris. And ICYMI… Usher released a new album last Friday called Coming Home, and his Past Present Future Tour will be coming to Toronto in September
Meanwhile, Usher also picked up a marriage license while he was in Vegas. The singer and his longtime girlfriend obtained the license on Thursday. He kept his left hand covered with a glove throughout his performance, so could they have already tied the knot? As of Sunday night no licence had been filed with the county court.
Drake was laying down a massive $1.15 Million bet that the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the 49ers, and his return was more than $2.3 million.
And on a completely different note… Following the success of Gerry Turner’s ‘The Golden Bachelor’, look for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ coming to ABC this fall. No word yet on who the lucky lady will be.
