Celebrity Status – Box Office, Baby News, And Beyoncé

A monster of a weekend at the movies… “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ” roared to an $80 million opening at the North American box office, stomping expectations of a 50 million dollar weekend. Last week’s No. 1 at the box office, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” was second with $15.7 and “Dune: Part Two” stayed strong in its fifth week, for third place.
Beyoncé’s album Act II: Cowboy Carter came out on Friday and all sorts of chatter about it on the internet over the weekend… and yes, she did record a version of Jolene. Dolly Parton is cool with it, and Beyoncé sent flowers to Black female country artists Mickey Guyton and K. Michelle and said, “Thank you for opening doors for me.”
Shortly after Leonardo DiCaprio‘s girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti was spotted wearing a ring on ‘THAT’ finger, rumors began circulating that the couple was engaged…. but a source has told gossip site Page Six that there is “zero” truth to the story, pointing out that the ring in question is silver, not diamond.
Sydney Sweeney has shut down reports that she will star in a new movie with Johnny Depp, and her rep confirms she is not involved in the upcoming supernatural thriller “Day Drinker.” (but what a way to get some publicity for the movie!)
And ICYMI last week: Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson have welcomed their first child. Pattinson was spotted pushing a light pink baby stroller, so the best guess is it’s a girl. Whatever the case, this kid is gonna have some great cheekbones!
And Tori Spelling has officially filed for divorce from Dean McDermott. The two have been separated since last year.
