Celebrity Status – New Movies, Tortured Poets, And OJ’s Getaway Car
For Friday, April 19th:
Taylor Swift‘s new album dropped today, along with lots of name-drops in the title track ‘The Tortured Poets Department’… everyone from Patti Smith to Charlie Puth and someone named Lucy. Also, a video for Fortnight comes out at 8 tonight. And it was rumoured to be albums, plural. It kind of is — it’s a double album with 31 songs!
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Kanye West for battery — again — after a man reportedly claimed Ye punched him in the face multiple times earlier this week.
In theaters, Angus Cloud and Alisha Weir star in the horror-thriller ‘Abigail’. A group of would-be criminals get more than they bargained for with the young girl they kidnap. It’s based on the novel Dracula’s Daughter, so, yeah….
‘Spy x Family: Code White’ is a Japanese animated comedy about a spy and an assassin who each keep their double lives to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family.
Also in theaters this weekend… ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ stars Henry Cavill and is billed as a true story about a secret British organization during World War II… And the second part of Zack Snyder’s space epic ‘Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver’ comes to Netflix
ICYMI … The white Ford Bronco from OJ Simpson‘s infamous 1994 slow-speed police chase went up for sale this week. A group of his friends own it and they’re looking for $1.5 million… yeah, well, if the A/C doesn’t work I don’t want it!
