Swifties without a ticket to one of Taylor Swift’s six sold-out shows in The Six this November will be able to celebrate at a new ‘fan experience’. ”Toronto’s Version: Taylgate ’24” will operate from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre every day of the concerts, with a massive friendship bracelet-building and exchange area, live DJ sets, interactive dances, and more. Tickets for all six dates are on sale for $55 at www.torontosversion.com.

Two new ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies are heading to theaters, the first of which will arrive in 2026. Andy Serkis will reprise his role as Gollum and will direct the first of the two films, which has a working title of “Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.” Peter Jackson, who directed the OG trilogy and the “Hobbit” movies, will serve as a producer of the new films.

Reese Witherspoon is producing a Legally Blonde prequel series about Elle Woods’ high school years.
“Elle” will debut on Amazon Prime Video, but no details yet on casting or a premiere date.

The first trailer for the new season of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ is out, and it’s a star-studded affair as the show heads to Hollywood. Melissa McCarthy will join the cast, along with previously announced guest stars Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Eugene Levy and Kumail Nanjiani. Season 4 premieres August 27th.

ABC has not yet announced a premiere date for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ but they did announce the leading lady. 60-yr-old Joan Vassos, who had to leave ‘The Golden Bachelor’ for family reasons, is getting her second chance at love.

And Alice Munro, Nobel prize winner, Wingham native and master of the short story, has passed away at the age of 92 at her home in Port Hope. Locally, the annual Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story is coming up June 5-9 in North Huron and Bayfield.
