Mornings

For Wednesday, July 10th:

Coldplay‘s manager for more than two decades, Dave Holmes, recently sued the band over a contractual dispute. He says they owed him $10 million in unpaid commission. The band countersued for $14 million over “damages”. They say he took out loans from Live Nation that they were unaware of. In a settlement, the band has reportedly agreed to pay him seven figures.

Disney is developing a sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada.” The storyline reportedly follows Miranda Priestly — originally played by Meryl Streep — as she navigates the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against Emily Blunt’s character. EW has confirmed that they, along with Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and others, are in talks to return for the sequel.

If you haven’t read one of Emily Henry‘s novels, you may want to get started. (Otherwise how are you supposed to say the book was better than the movie?) ALL of her books are being made into movies or a series. Look for ‘Beach Read’, ‘Book Lovers’ and ‘The People We Meet on Vacation’ ( I just read that one – it’s good! ~Julie B) And Jennifer Lopez is turning Henry’s novel ‘Happy Place’ into a series for Netflix.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ will be getting a little more Grey next season. Ellen Pompeo, who has played Dr. Meredith Grey since the medical drama began in 2005, will appear in seven episodes in the upcoming 21st season. She will also continue to narrate the show.

In other headlines, for the latest Savage X Fenty campaign, Rihanna didn’t look far for male models… she enlisted her family! A$AP Rocky and their son, RZA, did the honours.

There’s a trailer out for Gladiator 2, starring Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington… see it here on our website.
And it’s official! Shrek 5 is happening… with Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz returning.
