Celebrity Status – A Lawsuit, And Indictment, Dancing And A Baby!
For Tuesday, September 17th:
Miley Cyrus is being sued over allegations that she and the co-writers of her song ‘Flowers’ copied portions of Bruno Mars’ song ‘When I Was Your Man’ from ten years earlier. Tempo Music Investments, which owns part of the copyrights for Bruno’s song, claims there are too many musical similarities between the two songs for it to be a coincidence. What’s worth noting here though is that Bruno Mars is NOT a complainant in the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested last night after a grand jury indictment. While the indictment was sealed, it comes after a widely publicized string of civil lawsuits accusing him of abuse and sex trafficking. His attorney says “Mr. Combs looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show to plug her upcoming horror flick ‘The Substance’, Demi Moore spoke about Bruce Willis’ battle with dementia, saying that she sees him every week when she’s in Los Angeles, and that “Given the givens, he is in a stable place.”
It’s the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars tonight.
