Mornings

For Friday, October 18th:

Tributes continue on social media for Liam Payne. His bandmates from One Direction – individually and collectively – expressed their heartbreak in the wake of the release of the 9-1-1 call that preceded his death. Payne’s girlfriend, social media influencer Kate Cassidy, had returned to the U.S. just two days before his death.

At the movies this weekend, ‘We Live in Time’ stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh as an up-and-coming chef and a recent divorcée who find their lives forever changed by a chance encounter…

‘Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue’ is an animated family flick with Brooke Shields, Alicia Silverstone and Susan Sarandon among the voice actors in this one.

And horror movie Smile 2 comes to theatres. In an EW interview, director Parker Finn said that pop stars Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston inspired the movie’s horrific portrait of celebrity suffering.

W Network is airing Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, starting today, Oct. 18, featuring 10 weeks of back-to-back holiday movies every day, along with three festive series. One is a reality competition show called Finding Mr. Christmas, with hunky hopefuls competing in a series of festive challenges for the chance to be the next Hallmark superstar.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions are taking place tomorrow and will air live on Disney+ at 7pm. Among the inductees are Foreigner, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, and Ozzy Osbourne

And there’s a new trailer for the second half of Outlander season 7… the show returns Friday, Nov. 22
