Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney Houston, has passed away at the age of 91. A very talented singer in her own right, she had a 6-decade career as part of a backup group and solo session singer, performing on tracks with Van Morrison, Luther Vandross, Beyonce, Paul Simon and of course, with her daughter Whitney Houston.

She said she thought it was a 35-yr-old woman singing initially. Elsewhere, Gene Simmons is the guest judge on DWTS tonight as the 11 remaining couples dance to rock anthems.
Netflix has announced that Virgin River will premiere season six on December 19th with all 10 episodes dropping at once. Meanwhile, Ali Wong‘s fourth comedy special comes to Netflix today and will feature musings about post-divorce life and her quest for love following her 2022 separation from husband Justin Hakuta.
