
Celebrity Status – Oscars, Drake, And RIP Michelle And Gene

It’s time to get ready for the Oscars this Sunday. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who star in the big-screen version of Wicked, are among the scheduled performers, but the songs from the movie aren’t nominated. Other performers include Doja Cat, and Queen Latifah… word is, the performances this year may focus on the recovery efforts in Los Angeles and not on the Oscar-nominated songs.
Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles as Georgina Sparks on “Gossip Girl” and as Buffy’s stubborn little sister in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, has died. She would have been 40 this year. And actor Gene Hackman, his wife and their dog have all been found deceased in their home. Officials report no indication of foul play.
Kate Hudson‘s new basketball series ‘Running Point’ debuts on Netflix today, as well as ‘Toxic Town’, the true story about the link between toxic waste and birth defects in a small British town.

And Drake is backing out of his final four concert dates in Australia and New Zealand due to a “scheduling conflict.”
