Sad news for Hollywood. Val Kilmer, best known for roles in Top Gun and Batman Forever, has passed away at the age of 65. His daughter said he died of pneumonia yesterday. His last on screen appearance was in Top Gun: Maverick in 2022.
News from CinemaCon this week includes a release date for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,” the third entry in Sony’s animated web-slinging trilogy. It will swing into theaters… in a couple of years. Specifically, June 4th, 2027.
David Fincher is directing a sequel to “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” with Quentin Tarantino writing the script. It doesn’t have an official title, but will be on Netflix, and Brad Pitt will reprise his role as stuntman and potential wife-killer Cliff Booth.
And if you’re looking for something to watch tonight, the ‘Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day in America’ docuseries debuts on Nat Geo and on Disney+ tomorrow, and Netflix has the season premiere of ‘Love on the Spectrum’…
Also on Netflix, ‘Million Dollar Secret’ is a new reality game show where 12 contestants will live at a “beautiful lakeside estate.” One will receive a $1 million welcome gift. The others will receive empty boxes and will try to figure out who is hiding the cash.
