Mornings

For Tuesday, October 14th:

At the box office, ‘Tron: Ares’ starring Jared Leto took the top spot, but with just $33.5M it’s being considered a bit of a disappointment considering its $180 million dollar budget. In second place at $8 million was another new film, “Roofman,” starring Channing Tatum. “One Battle After Another,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn was third.

Saturday Night Live‘s episode on the weekend marked 50 years to the day since the first episode hit the airwaves. SNL alum Amy Poehler was the host and Charlie XCX popped up as a dancer for musical guest Role Model.

Dearest Reader… The wait is nearly over. Lady Whistledown released a missive over the weekend to advise that the next season of Bridgerton will arrive in two enchanting parts early next year. Part One arrives January 29th and Part Two on February 26th. Prepare for scandal and splendor in equal parts.

Social media was full of tributes to a beloved Hollywood icon over the weekend. Diane Keaton passed away at the age of 79. Everyone just loved her… and her fun outfits!

In other headlines, Katy Perry was photographed locking lips with our former PM Justin Trudeau on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, according to People

Also, comedian Tom Green got married. He and fiancee Amanda Nelson tied the knot on Saturday

And Apple TV+ dropped the plus in a rebrand announcement yesterday. I hate to tell them, nobody ever said the plus anyway.
