Mornings

For Wednesday, October 15th:

On DWTS it was “Dedication Night” and Dylan Efron danced to “Rewrite the Stars,” originally sung by his brother Zac Efron and Zendaya in The Greatest Showman. He dedicated it their 5-yr-old baby sister, Olivia Efron, who came out for part of the dance. And Robert Irwin paid tribute not to his legendary late father, Steve Irwin, but to his mom, Terri, whom he called “an absolute hero to me.” She also stepped in for part of the dance.

Mel Gibson’s “The Resurrection of the Christ,” his long-delayed follow up to 2004’s “The Passion of the Christ,” has cast Finnish actor Jaakko Ohtonen (“The Last Kingdom”) in the role of Jesus, replacing original star Jim Caviezel. Shooting started last week at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios. As previously announced, “The Resurrection of the Christ” will be split into two films, with each part set to release in 2027.

Meghan Markle is exploring all the options for her Netflix series ‘With Love, Meghan’ while also trying to grow her brand As Ever. The first season of Meghan’s lifestyle show debuted in Netflix’s top 10 back in March but the second season, which dropped in August, did not.

And Nicholas Sparks, author of ‘The Notebook’ and so many more, is teaming up with M. Night Shyamalan for a supernatural love story with a twist. Jake Gyllenhall and Phoebe Dynevor will star in the movie.
