Celebrity Status – Taylor, George, Adam, And Charlotte’s Web
For Thursday, October 2nd:
It’s T-minus one day to Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”. to call it eagerly anticipated is an understatement; the album is the most pre-saved album ever on Spotify, breaking the record set last year by Taylor’s last album. This one features a duet with Sabrina Carpenter, which won’t hurt sales either. Taylor herself promises “it comes from the most infectiously joyful place I was in in my life — and so that effervescence has come through.” (find out for yourself in just over 15 hours)
Speaking of Taylor Swift, there was talk that the NFL and Apple wanted her for the Super Bowl Halftime show. According to Complex, Swift wanted to retain ownership of her performance and the NFL “flatly refused,” and that’s where talks broke down… if indeed there’s any truth to it.
Adam Sandler is ditching his signature look thanks to George Clooney. The two are starring in ‘Jay Kelly’ coming to theatres next month, and apparently George has been making Adam wear suits on the red carpet instead of his usual big baggy shorts and shirts. He does look good. ‘Jay Kelly’ will also be streaming on Netflix in early December
Crave’s upcoming comedy series ‘I Kill The Bear’ from Letterkenny creator Jared Keeso, who also stars, has announced its cast. It includes Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Adrian Holmes, Georges St-Pierre and more, including some actors from Shoresy, Trailer Park Boys and Kids in the Hall. Production gets underway this week in Sudbury.
And there’s a Charlotte’s Web animated three-part feature coming to HBO/Max today with a stacked voice cast, including Amy Adams, Cynthia Erivo, Elijah Wood and others.
