Mornings

For Friday, January 16th:

The speculation was true! Yesterday, Harry Styles announced a new album, ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’. The album is slated to be released on March 6… and pre-orders are available now.

At the movies, it’s a fight for survival in “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple”.  Ralph Feinnes stars and Cillian Murphy apparently makes an appearance. And “Dead Man’s Wire” stars Bill Skarsgard and Australian actor Dacre Montgomery, along with Cary Elwes and Al Pacino.

Also in theatres, Owen Wilson is the voice of the animated “Charlie the Wonderdog” who has superpowers after being abducted by aliens. And as one would expect, there’s an evil cat threatening humanity… and Ben Affleck and Matt Damon face a moral dilemma in ‘The Rip’ on Netflix as part of a group of Miami cops who discover a stash of millions of dollars.

In other headlines, Cate Blanchett will star in the live action version of How to Train Your Dragon 2 as Valka, reprising the role she voiced in the original animated trilogy… Sophie Turner is the next Lara Croft, as filming begins on a new Tomb Raider series on Prime. And Pete Davidson will host a new podcast on Netflix called The Pete Davidson Show

Tomorrow, it’s Hockey Day in Canada live from Moncton, NB. Ron McLean will host along with many of the other hockey broadcasters you usually see, and the 12-hour broadcast will see all of the NHL’s Canadian teams in action

And Saturday Night Live is back this weekend with host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky.
