And then late last week New Mexico authorities issued an arrest warrant for her husband, actor and director Timothy Busfield. he is accused of two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse, involving 11-year-old twin boys on the set of the TV series ‘The Cleaning Lady’. One of the boys alleged the abuse began at age seven. An episode of Law & Order: SVU featuring Timothy Busfield has been pulled from the schedule this week.
Scarlett Johansson‘s box office reign is over… for now. She held the title for highest-grossing actor of all time — past tense — because now she has been dethroned by fellow Marvel star Zoe Saldaña, thanks to her starring role in James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ films. She is now about $400 million ahead of Scarlett with a box office gross of more than $16-billion, 800-million in box office sales.
Julia Roberts is teasing a big reunion with George Clooney and more of their co-stars in the upcoming “Ocean’s 14”, saying: ‘The gang is back!’ Or at least they will be soon. George confirmed it’s now just a scheduling issue and filming should start before the end of this year.
A rare copy of the comic book that introduced the world to Superman and also was once stolen from the home of Nicolas Cage has been sold for a record $15 million. The private deal for “Action Comics No. 1” was announced Friday. It eclipses the previous record price for a comic book, set last November when a copy of “Superman No. 1” was at sold at auction for $9.12 million.
The 9th Annual Astra Film Awards has gone to the dogs… literally. Indy the Dog from the movie “Good Boy” took home the award for Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller at last Friday’s ceremony, beating out a collection of talented humans that included Ethan Hawke, Alison Brie, and more.
