Official Rules and Regulations – 101.7 The One “Toughest Decision Ever”

If you WIN this contest, you are NO LONGER eligible to play our other contests for 30 days. Draw to be made on FRIDAY, May 16 during The One Morning Show with Julie B & Nick. Contestants must be 18 years of age to enter and reside within the 101.7 The One listening area. (Midwestern Ontario coverage area: Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey, Wellington County)

ON AIR QUALIFYING: (total qualifiers MAX 69)

Contestants must listen to 101.7 The One weekdays between April 14 and May 15 for their cue to qualify. They will be listening for The One Cue to TEXT three times daily on weekdays. When they hear the cue to TEXT, they must text The One Studio Line Powered by CSN Collision Centres at 1-877-663-1017. The qualifier will be chosen at random.

ONLINE QUALIFYING: (total qualifiers MAX 32) 

April 14-May 15, 101.7 The One (Blackburn Media Inc.) will randomly draw one name from all online entries and contact that person who will instantly qualify. Those who are registered One Club members will receive an e-blast linked to an online entry form. The online contest page also lives at 1017theone.ca April 14-May 15 for the general public to apply –must reside within the 101.7 The One listening area, Midwestern Ontario area. One qualifier per day will be drawn randomly from all online entries. Qualifiers do not need to be listening to qualify.

Prize(s): YOUR CHOICE OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PRIZES: Most prizes will come in the form of a $6,000 gift certificate to the business of the winners choosing (except where noted).

Win a $6,000 gift card towards a Complete Backyard Outdoor Furniture Set-up from Westside Nurseries Owen Sound,  $6,000 Gift Card towards a Hot Tub or Swim Spa from Water & Wellness Walkerton, $6,000 Gift Card towards Complete Home Cleaning Services from Weiler’s Cleaning & Restoration Walkerton, $6,000 gift card towards any Appliances from Groves TV & Appliance Centre Clinton, $6,000 Gift Card towards BBQs, Grills or Smokers from Leis Lumber BMR Goderich, $6,000 Gift Card from Anstett Jewellers Goderich.

Prizes have no cash value. None of the prizes are transferable or convertible to cash, and each must be accepted as awarded. The prizes may not be sold to, bartered with, or purchased by a third party. Prizes are non-transferable.

One of the above-mentioned prizes will be available for the ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER to redeem after being randomly drawn. ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER will be selected and will then have the choice of one (1) of the 6, $6,000 prizes listed. 

Prizes are limited solely to those items explicitly set forth herein and shall not include any and all other expenses, incidentals, food, gas or taxes that may arise out of the winner’s receipt of this prize.

Drawing: The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen by random out of all qualifiers. Grand Prize winner will be announced FRIDAY, May 16 during the Morning Show with Julie B & Nick. 

Eligibility: To be eligible, you must be a legal Canadian citizen and currently reside in 101.7 The One Broadcast Area (Midwestern Ontario area). You must be (18) years of age or older. You are not eligible if, at any point during this time you are (or are an immediate family member with) an employee, representative or agent of Blackburn Media Inc., Westside Nurseries Owen Sound, Water & Wellness Walkerton, Weiler’s Cleaning & Restoration Walkerton, Groves TV & Appliance Centre Clinton, Leis Lumber BMR Goderich, Anstett Jewellers Goderich, or their respective parents, partners, affiliates or licensees. Immediate family shall include spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren this also includes any other person (not blood related) residing within the same household. Employees of third party clients cannot enter this contest.

Limitations:

All expenses not specifically listed as being part of the Prize(s) are the responsibility of the winner. The winner is responsible for ensuring that all necessary insurance and licensing documents are obtained for the winner. All participants agree to be bound to these rules: Void where prohibited by Canadian law. Ontario is the governing law.

If winner selects $10,000 of complete home cleaning services from Weiler’s Cleaning & Restoration, Walkerton it can be used for all home cleanings, carpet & upholstery, maid services, blind cleaning and vehicle cleaning. 

***Should your prize exceed $6,000 (including all applicable installation and taxes) the additional amount is at the expense of the prize winner.***

Release of Information: Participation constitutes permission for 101.7 The One, Blackburn Media Inc., and ALL OTHER SPONSORS, as well as other partners\sponsors in this promotion without any further obligation to the contest winner, to use the winner’s photo, name, likeness, voice, video and sobriquet for purposes of advertising or promotion.

Hold Harmless: By accepting the Prize(s), the contest winner(s) agrees to release all sponsoring parties and their parent suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any subcontractors, employees, officers, directors, agents, related corporate entities and representatives of any of the above organizations, from and against any and all claims for losses, damages, death or injury, however caused directly or indirectly with the prize or the contest, or use and acceptance sustained by said winner arising out of participation in the promotion or acceptance or use of the prize. BLACKBURN MEDIA INC., and ALL OTHER SPONSORS, reserve the right to reclaim a prize if all terms and conditions are not accepted as written in the “Official Rules and Regulations”. It is further understood that there are certain terms and conditions associated with such Prize(s) that I agree to comply with.

101.7 The One & Blackburn Media Inc. reserves the right to change any of the rules of the contest and prizes, at any time, as we see fit.
