Celebrity Status – Movies, Vampires And The Littlest Hobo… Wait, What??
For Friday, June 5th:
At the movies, Anna Faris and Regina Hall might not have been there for ‘Scary Movie 5‘ but they’re back for the 6th movie in the spoof franchise, called simply Scary Movie, along with Shawn and Marlon Wayans who haven’t been involved since 2001.
Also in theaters, Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas star in ‘Power Ballad’, about a couple of past-their-prime singers whose careers find new life… and Nicholas Galitzine is He-Man in ‘Masters of the Universe‘. The stacked cast also includes Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Alison Brie and Idris Elba.
On Netflix, Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein strike up a fling in the rom-com ‘Office Romance’... and on Peacock, the documentary ‘Lorne’ is about SNL’s Lorne Michaels, and features interviews with Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, John Mulaney, Chris Rock and more.
Sunday night on AMC, Sam Reid is back to sink his teeth into season 3 of Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire, now titled ‘The Vampire Lestat.’
Taylor Swift dropped her new tune ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack today. See our Facebook page (The One Morning Show) for a cute video of tiny Taylor in her cowgirl outfit!
And this will either be the best thing you hear today, or the worst… Seth Rogen and Canadian filmmaker and long time collaborator Evan Goldberg, are going to reboot the Canadian TV classic ‘The Littlest Hobo.’ Crave is teaming up with Bell, Lionsgate, and Rogan and Goldberg’s company Point Grey Pictures for the nostalgic favourite. There is no word yet on casting or release date… but all I can say is they better not mess it up.
